The total export cargo of 33,267 tonnes comprised of 29,367 tonnes of containerised cargo and 3,900 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. As many as 8,835 containers comprising of 4,282 containers import and 4,553 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 1,269 of 20's and 1,443 of 40's loaded while 15 of 20's and 56 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 568 of 20's and 223 of 40's loaded containers while 439 of 20's and 1,550 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours. There were seven ships namely Fowairet, MT Shalamar, BW Helium, CT Frontier, Tokyo Bulker, Grand Neptune and Stove Tide carrying containers, oil tanker, chemical, coal, vehicle and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There were ten vessels viz. APL Japan, Virgo, Newark, Long Beach Trader, BW Helium, Chemroad Sakura, Triton Valk, Grand Neptune, Rowan-2 and Kong Que Song carrying containers, oil tankers, coal, vehicle and general cargo respectively currently at the berths. There were five ships namely APL Japan, Virgo, Newark, Long Beach Trader and Kong Que Song carrying containers and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea on Monday, while another ship namely Triton Valk carrying coal is expected to sail on Tuesday.
There were three vessels viz. Polo, Tubul and MT Lahore carrying containers and oil tanker respectively due to arrive on Monday while six vessels viz. Sima Genesis, YM Orchid, Hyundai Courage, MSC Maria Laura, Phoenix and Common Spirit carrying containers, oil tanker and steel respectively are due to arrive on Tuesday.
A cargo volume of 137,905 tonnes comprising 114,181 tonnes of import cargo and 23,724 tonnes of export cargo including 2,892 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 114,181 tonnes includes 60,000 tonnes of LNG, 8,100 tonnes of palm oil; 4,714 tonnes of coal; 5,300 tonnes of canola seeds; 2,000 tonnes of chemical; 3,938 tonnes of LPG and 32,129 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 23,724 tonnes includes; 905 tonnes of rice and 22,819 tonnes of containerised cargo. As many as 2,892 containers comprising of 1,691 containers import and 1,201 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Monday.
There was one ship namely CV Prosper carrying containers sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while two more ships namely MV Yasa Pembe and MT Lime Galaxy carrying coal and palm oil respectively are expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of ten vessels viz. CV Prosper, CV Virgo, MV Pan Oceanis, MV Yasa Pembe, MV Kirri Billi, MV Epic Sardina, MT White Purl, MT Kano, MT Al Khattiya and MT Lime Galaxy were currently occupied berths to load/offload containers, rice, coal, canola seeds, LPG, LNG and palm oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as eight ships namely MV Alios Nicolas, MV Era-S, MT Gas Amazon, MT Maria-III, MT Brizo, MT Glorious, MT Horizon and MT Elm Galaxy carrying soyabean, rice, LPG, furnace oil, diesel oil and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours. There were four vessels viz. CV Mediterranean Bridge, CV MSC Maeva, CV Newark and MV Reem-3 carrying containers and bitumen respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Monday.
There were three ships namely MV Kong Que Song, MT Ondo and MT Bahra carrying project cargo, LNG and Diesel oil respectively due to arrive on Monday. There are three ships namely CV MSC Busan and MV Forest Honesty carrying containers and bulk cargo respectively due to arrive on Tuesday.
